Creating Car Reflections
-
This is another request and a big thank you to Ian F. for this request. Ian was working on a Photo of a VW (sweet little car), he cut the car out and put it on a black background but needed some help with the reflection, this one is a good example where the ‘standard’ type of reflection wont work. You need Flash Player 9 or later installed to play this s3streamingvideo(Right Click on the link above and ‘Save’ it to your hard drive to practice!)

Hi Shane,
Can you give some tips about brightening video footage and also adjusting hue and saturation on footage.
Regards

Most video editing software that I’m aware of has a ‘Brightness’ slider that can brighten video footage. Even iMovie on the Mac does. 99% sure Sony Vegas does, Final Cut Pro does. etc.

Great video, Shane. You make it look so easy. And, now it is!
What about the reflections in the front wind screen? I see trees and sky. Is there a way to remove those to get that “showroom” look to the image?
Thanks for the lesson.

Hey Jay,
Thanks for the comments and feedback. Yes, this is not my original photo and the windows definitely need some work, certainly you could put whatever you wanted in the windows and another thing I would do is remove the grey from the other windows as in theory they should be somewhat see thru but at the moment they are see thru to grey but there is a black background so they should have more black than grey. Shane,
When I attempted to download the picture of the VW I got an error message, “Can not download golf.tif from this website XXXXXX.amazonaws.com. Internet Explorer can not access this website.”
