Shane I have tried to load the second video for the last three days. When I select module 2 under the free member gifts, it takes me to your screen that say: OOPS, you have reached the wrong access level. I have tried several different ways to get to the 2nd video with no success. Shane I must have 50 books on Photoshop and have every book ever written by Scott Kelby, Matt Kloskowski, and Joe McNally. I am a registered user on Lynda.com and Scott Kelby training site. I can never get enough of learning. I lost my dad recently and the last picture we have of dad and me wasn’t the best. My eyes were squinting because we were facing the sun. I hope to correct that problem with the disc I ordered. I am also hoping to correct a problem when my belt slid down making it look like I have a big belly. I am the short one in the family and I am 6′ 4″ and slender. Please advise. David

Hey David, there was a slight glitch in cyber land last week (probably at the same time you tried to access the free tutorials) but it’s working now. Let me know if you’re still having trouble.
September 15, 2009 10:48 am

August 10, 2009 11:29 pm
Very useful new post production idea. Thank you so much for sharing your skills.
July 5, 2009 8:33 pm
pretty good but the waiting another day to complete the lesson is a bit off putting and I would agree with some of the comments that it would be good to have a printed list of instructions for reference a couple of months down the track
June 16, 2009 5:27 am
Great tutorial. I did one of my own of a beautiful bird from FL, and it looks great.
June 14, 2009 12:20 pm
i missed this part before. Now it looks so easy. Thanks

I would not have thought to make a rough selection with the Lasso tool to add to the mask and so quickly get close to the final result.
Instead, I would have started painting immediately. However I would have kept the selection active so that I could not accidentally destroy the straight sections of the border.
Is there an obvious problem with my approach or is it just another of the hundreds of ways of creating the effect?
May 13, 2009 12:01 am
sorry, because i found it so interesting and easy to learn.
April 27, 2009 2:06 am
This was great!
April 25, 2009 12:42 am
Never mind!
Forgot to hold shift key!
April 25, 2009 12:39 am
I can’t lasso around the elephants ear and have it connect with the inverted box. I’m using CS2. Could it be that?
April 23, 2009 12:51 pm
ugh…I am struggling with this!
April 12, 2009 12:32 am

This is something I’ve been wanting to learn for a while now. Would not have done it without you.
Now if only your monitor screen was just double it’s size, I could see better. I’d also like a text version.
Thanks!

September 29, 2008 12:37 pm
It would be great to have a text version along with the videos for better learning…
September 29, 2008 10:27 am
Yes, as long as you remember your log in details you’ll have access to these videos — they’re our gift to you!
September 29, 2008 9:47 am
it would be good to have a step by step instruction sheet at the end of each tutorial, for a print out.
Thanks otherwise.
September 29, 2008 1:03 am
Will I be able to access these tutorials indefinitely as I would need to keep refering to them while I’m still learning
September 26, 2008 11:24 am
If you can’t download this series it doesn’t do much good since I can’t remember everything you did.

How about just hitting “tab” to get the palettes etc out of the way instead of dragging the palettes all over? Then just hit “tab” again to get them back?
Otherwise….great!

Feel free to watch Part 1 again:

Part 1 was yesterday, part 2 today
September 25, 2008 2:10 pm
When I open a tutorial and see its title includes “Part 2,” my eyebrows went up. Sure enough, I had some questions about how you got to the point the tutorial STARTED at. I found that really frustrating.
