Selective Coloring

  • OK my Photoshop Ninja Apprentices, this video request came in from George who wrote in and wanted to know if he could possibly keep part of his image in colour and have all the rest of the image in black and white. This technique has been around for ages and pretty easy too.

Photographers have used it in the past (and some still use it) for example for a wedding photo with the bride with a bouquet of flowers kept in colour and the rest of the image in black and white!

Dear Shane, this is totally amazing. Can you work on a complete video tutorial on CS5. Am sure it will be of great value. …And an unbeatable sales.

But if you have something already on ground, I wont mind to have such a video please.

You’ve been more than an inspiration to my quest for professional photography and there aren’t words enough to appreciate you.

    Regards.

    Kingsley.
