    There are new things to learn in each tutorial.

    I noticed that this tutorial is similar to the last part of the “Glass Button” tutorial. However in one you create a layer group and duplicate it while in the other you created a new layer by combining the visible layers below.

    Like Cindy34, I was wondering why?

    When should each technique be used in preference to the other or are they just different but equivalent?

    Thanks for another nice tutorial Shane, but something I think would be nice in all of your tutorials would be to explain the ‘why’ of things. Such as ‘why rasterize the type’, ‘why contract your second layer’, ‘why drag the reflection layer above the background layer’, etc. If we don’t understand the why’s of what you are doing, then we will never really unlock OUR understanding of the program, but will be relegated to blindly following a list of steps. Thanks again. Cindy
